New Delhi, Aug 20 (IBNS): Former Indian cricketer Virender Sehwag on Saturday has urged Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Finance Minister Arun Jaitley to remove tax deduction from Olympians' prize money.

Urging people to join him in the request, Viru tweeted, "RT if you agree that the Tax that is deducted from prize money given to our athletes by government should be waived off (who won us glory)"

".@narendramodi ji , ,@arunjaitley ji Please consider this. Our Olympians who have brought us glory deserve this," (sic) his second tweet read.

India has so far won two medals in the ongoing Rio Olympics, a Bronze in Women's 58kg Freestyle Wrestling and a Silver in Women's Badminton.
