They were better than us: Virat Kohli

Centurion, Jan 17 (IBNS): Indian skipper Virat Kohli on Wednesday said his 150 runs knock in the first innings meant nothing specially after his side lost both the second Test and the series in South Africa.

"The 150 means nothing now that we've lost the series. Having not won the game, personal milestones do not matter at all," he said.

Kohli said the performance of the side was not good enough on the field.

Kohli appreciated South Africa and said they were better performer in the match in all departments, specially fielding.

"We tried our best and we just weren't good enough. They were better than us, especially with the fielding," Kohli said.

South Africa defeated India by 135 runs in the second Test.

The home side clinched the series 2-0.

One more match is still left.

India have not won a Test series in South Africa so far.
