Manchester: In reply to Australia's 497, England are a bit under pressure as they have lost five wickets for 200 at stumps on day 3 in the fourth Test match of the Ashes here on Saturday.

Rory Burns, the opening batsman, scored 81 off 185 balls.

Burns stitched a century partnership for the third wicket with skipper Joe Root who scored 71 but failed to convert it into a hundred.

However, England are still in the game with destructive batsman Ben Stokes being at the crease with Jonny Bairstow.

Josh Hazlewood was the star bowler for Australia as he dismissed four of five English batsmen conceding 48 runs.

Pat Cummins picked one wicket.

Earlier Steve Smith's mesmerising 211 helped Australia to score 497/8 dec. in the first innings.
