Tennis icon Leander Paes turns 44

New Delhi, June 17 (IBNS): India's Tennis icon Leander Paes turned a year older on Saturday.

Leander turned 44.

Leander Paes is considered as one of he biggest sporting icons in India.

West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee wished him and tweeted: "Birthday greetings to @leander. Hope you continue to make India, Bengal and Kolkata proud."


Official Twitter handle of the Davis Cup also wished the icon and said: "Happy Birthday to @Leander who has won the joint-most doubles matches of anyone in #DavisCup!"

The official Twitter handle of ATP World Tour greeted by saying: "Happy 44th birthday to the incredible @Leander Paes! Send him your wishes for a fantastic day View #ATP Profile: http://bit.ly/1UZR9av ."
