South African batsmen put up brilliant show to beat India by seven wickets in third Test to clinch series

Cape Town: South African put up a bright performance as they beat India by seven wickets in third Test match to clinch Test series 2-1 here on Friday.

India started the series with a victory but African players bounced back and won back to back matches to end victorious.

South Africa lost just three wickets to reach 212 runs target.

Temba Bavuma (32*) and Rassie van der Dussen (41*) remained unbeaten at the end and ensured a victory for the homeside.

Keegan Petersen  (82), Aiden Markram  (16) and Dean Elgar (30) lost their wickets to the Indian bowlers, chasing the target.

Bumrah, Shami and Thakur picked up a wicket each for India.
