Serena Williams grabs her first title in three years

Auckland/IBNS: US Tennis icon Serena Williams won her first title in three years by winning the  Auckland Classic.

This was her first title since becoming a mother.

She defeated Jessica Pegula in the final.

The 23-time Grand Slam singles champion defeated her opponent in the final clash by 6-3 6-4.

She last won the  Australian Open in 2017.
