Rio: Serena,Venus exit after first round defeat

Rio de Janeiro, Aug 8 (IBNS):Disappointing her fans, Serena Williams and Venus Williams were defeated in the Olympics doubles clash on Sunday.

In the first round clash, they were defeated by Czech Republic's Lucie Safarova and Barbora Strycova  6-3 6-4.

The US duo lost in an Olympics doubles clash for the first time.

They suffered their first defeat in 16 Olympic matches playing together.
