Rafael Nadal reaches US Open final

New York, Sept 9 (IBNS): Spanish Tennis star Rafael Nadal has reached the final of the US Open by beating Argentina's Juan Martin del Potro in the last four stage of the tournament her eon Saturday.

"Match point. Always a special feeling and a tough one! #USOpen," Nadal tweeted after the victory.

  After making it to the final, Nadal said: "It means the world to me to play on this amazing court in front of this wonderful crowd."

Nadal defeated his opponent 4-6, 6-0, 6-3, 6-2.

Juan Martin del Potro had reached the semi-finals of the tournament by beating Swiss master Roger Federer.

This is the first time since 2013, top seed, Nadal, reached the US Open final.

The 31-year old Spanish tennis icon will face South Africa's Kevin Anderson in the final on Sunday, with an eye on the 16th grand slam title.
