Please respect your stars: Pakistani opener Mohammad Rizwan tweets in support of Shami

Islamabad: Pakistan's opener Mohammad Rizwan, who scored a match-winning knock against India, came out in support of pacer  Mohammed Shami who faced online trolls after the match.

Rizwan played a match winning knock against India in the opening match of the T20 World Cup of the two teams played in Dubai on Sunday.

"The kind of pressure, struggles & sacrifices a player has to go through for his country & his people is immeasurable.@MdShami11
is a star & indeed of the best bowlers in the world," Rizwan tweeted.

"Please respect your stars. This game should bring people together & not divide 'em #Shami #PAKvIND," he said.

Shami gave away 43 runs in 3.5 overs against Pakistan.

He received support from the Indian cricket fraternity and several politicians following the online trolls he faced after the match.
