Mumbai/IBNS: Actor-producer Vidnyan Mane has made shocking allegations against singer-composer Palaash Muchhal, claiming the latter was caught cheating on Indian cricketer Smriti Mandhana, Hindustan Times reported.

Mane told the daily that Palaash was seen with another woman in bed during the latter's wedding celebrations with Mandhana.

“I was at the wedding celebrations on November 23, 2025, when he was caught red-handed with another woman in bed. Bhayanak scene tha, he was beaten up by the Indian female cricketers,” Mane, who is Mandhana's friend, said.

He further accused Palaash’s family of attempting to extort additional funds for a movie release. “When I met his mother, Amita Muchhal, last month, she said the budget to release the movie had increased to ₹1.5 crore. They asked me to invest another ₹10 lakh or I wouldn’t get any money back. They threatened to remove me from the film, forcing me to file a complaint,” Mane alleged.

Mane also claimed that after the wedding was called off, Palaash’s family blocked him from all communication, and other artistes associated with the project had not received their payments.

He said he has secured chats and phone conversations as proof, which he plans to share with police and the media.

Countering the allegations, Palaash described them as “baseless” and “factually incorrect.”

In an Instagram story, he stated: “These allegations have been made with malicious intent to tarnish my reputation, and they will not go unchallenged. My lawyer, Shreyansh Mithare, is exploring all legal avenues to address this matter through the appropriate legal channels.”

Mandhana and Palaash were set to marry in November 2025. The wedding was initially postponed due to medical emergencies involving Mandhana’s father, Srinivas Mandhana, and Palaash himself.

Meanwhile, the controversy escalated when screenshots of Palaash’s alleged messages with choreographer Mary D’Costa circulated on social media.

Some netizens criticised Palaash for the perceived flirtatious messages, while others speculated that the alleged affair may have contributed to a confrontation linked to Srinivas Mandhana’s health scare.

None of the claims have been independently verified. The wedding was ultimately called off even after Srinivas Mandhana was discharged from the hospital.
