MI outplay KKR by 49 runs in IPL clash

Abu Dhabi/UNI: A brilliant half century by skipper Rohit Sharma (80 off 54), an aggressive batting of Suryakumar Yadav (47) and an all-round performance by bowlers helped Mumbai Indians (MI) to thrash Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) by 49 runs in the 13th edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL) here at the Sheikh Zayed Stadium on Wednesday.

After MI posted 195/5 in 20 overs, KKR could only score 146/9.

In the end it was Chahar who picked the wicket of Shivam Mavi in the last ball of the last over taking MI to 49 runs win against KKR.

Wicket takers for MI were James Pattinson (2/25), Rahul Chahar (2/26), Trent Boult (2/30), Jasprit Bumrah (2/32) and Kieron Pollard (1/21).
