Kings XI Punjab skipper R Ashwin fined for slow over-rate

New Delhi, Apr 21 (IBNS): Kings XI Punjab captain Ravichandran Ashwin has been fined after his team maintained a slow over-rate during their VIVO Indian Premier League (IPL) 2019 match against Delhi Capitals in Delhi on Saturday, officials said.

The skipper has been fined Rs. 12 lakhs.

"As it was his team’s first offence of the season under the IPL’s Code of Conduct relating to minimum over-rate offences, Mr. Ashwin was fined Rs 12 lakh," read a statement issued by the IPL website.

Delhi Capitals defeated Kings in the match.
