New Delhi, Sept 2 (IBNS): 18 young players from across Kerala and other states will compete with each other to get selected and represent Kerala Blasters in the forthcoming ISL on Saturday at the Greenfield stadium in Kochi.

The young players were chosen as part of the Kerala Blasters Youth Development programme to give talented young players from Kerala and around the country the opportunity to showcase their talent and a chance to gain a potential entry into the Kerala Blasters side.

Kerala Blasters’ Player Scout N. P. Pradeep, a former India player worked closely with Head coach Steve Coppell and Assistant coach Ishfaq Ahmed over the last few months to scout for promising young players from different cities across Kerala and other states.

Commenting on the players, N.P Pradeep said, ‘’There is tremendous talent in Kerala and our intention is to provide talented players with the opportunity to hone their skills by rubbing shoulders with the senior professionals. Exceptional players from tomorrow’s trials will be considered for a place in the Kerala Blasters team.’’
