Jammu and Kashmir: U-19 Zone Level Cricket Tourney concludes

Srinagar: The final match of the Under-19 Zone Level T20 Cricket Tournament, organised by Jammu and Kashmir Police at Sher-I-Kashmir Cricket Stadium Srinagar was played between CKR Lions and NKR Chargers here today.

After winning the toss Chargers decided to bowl first and restricted Lions to 136 in the allotted 20 overs. In reply, NKR chargers displayed an outstanding show with the bat and dominated the overall play, thus reaching the target and crossing over the winning line in the 19th over. Inspector General of Police, Kashmir Zone, Vijay Kumar attended the function as the Chief Guest and distributed prizes and cash rewards. DIG CKR, SSP Srinagar and other rank officers of the department were also present on the occasion.

This tournament was initiated with the celebrations of the police flag day and the aim was to get the cricket players from all across to come forward, expose their potential and move forward towards their cricketing career.

The tournament was scheduled to be played in 4 phases. In the first phase 8 teams from various zones participated.
