IPL: Jos Buttler to skip opener match for RR

| @indiablooms | Sep 21, 2020, at 12:07 am

Dubai/UNI: Cricketer Jos Buttler on Sunday revealed that he will skip the opening match for Rajasthan Royals against Chennai Super kings on Tuesday in Sharjah, as he is currently serving his mandatory quarantine after having arrived in the UAE with his family.

"I'm unfortunately going to miss the first match for Rajasthan because I'm going to be doing my quarantine period. I'm here with my family, it's great that the Royals have allowed me to have my family over, so it will be a huge help," Buttler said in a video posted by Rajasthan Royals on Instagram.

The RR are likely to miss the services of star all-rounder Ben Stokes, who is with his family in Christchurch after his father was diagnosed with brain cancer. Skipper Steve Smith who suffered a concussion while batting in the nets in Manchester and missed the ODIs as a result will too be unavailable for opening match.
