Indonesian Open victory: Narendra Modi wishes Kidambi Srikanth

New Delhi,June 18 (IBNS): Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday wished Indian badminton player Kidambi Srikanth for winning the Indonesian Open.

He said his victory made Indians feel delighted.

"Congratulations @srikidambi! We are extremely delighted on your victory in the Indonesia Open Super Series tournament," Modi tweeted.

Creating history, Kidambi Srikanth defeated Kazumasa Sakai to win the men's singles Indonesian Open title on Sunday.

The Indian badminton player defeated his opponent 21-11, 21-19.

He became the first Indian player to win the title.
