Indian men's hockey team beat Russia 7-1 to qualify for Tokyo 2020

Bhubaneshwar/IBNS: India men's hockey team on Saturday thrashed Russia 7-1 to book its seat in Tokyo 2020 Olympics at the Kalinga Stadium.

The Indian men did not allow the Russian side to take over the match after conceding an early goal by Alexy Sobolevskiy in the first minute of the game.

On Friday last, India had lost the first qualifying match by 2-4, but made the recovery today to register an aggregate 11-3 win in the two-legged Olympic Qualifier.
