India-South Africa third Test begins in Cape Town today

Cape Town/IBNS: The third and final Test between India and South Africa will begin here on Tuesday, days after the hosts came back strongly in the series by levelling it in Johannesburg.

After India took a 1-0 lead in Centurion, South Africa's clinical chase in the second innings powered Dean Elgar's men to square the series, giving much importance to the third encounter which will eventually emerge as a series decider if the result is not drawn.

In a good news for India, their regular captain and premier batsman Virat Kohli is returning to the side after missing the second Test due to his upper back spasm.

Though he is fit, Kohli's trump card Mohammed Siraj, who is emerging as one of the strong entities in the Indian pace battery, is not in a playable state owing to his hamstring injury.

Addressing the customary pre-match press conference, Kohli said, "Mohammed Siraj is not match-ready to play third Test, (so) can't take risk."

The team management is yet to take a call on who among experienced Ishant Sharma and Umesh Yadav will replace Siraj in the high octane contest.
