Pune: India maintained their domination in the ICC World Test Championship as they defeated South Africa by an innings and 137 runs in the second match to clinch the series here on Sunday.

India won the series on the fourth day of the Test match itself.

India also set a new record with the victory as the home side registered their 11th consecutive home series win.

They now topped Australia who twice won 10 home series in a row.

They had achieved it from 1994 to 2001 and 2004 to 2008.

India forced South Africa for a follow-on and the team were bowled out for 189 runs.

Jadeja and Umesh Yadav picked up three wickets each to break the South African batting line-up.

After India declared at 601 runs for the loss of five wickets, Virat Kohli's bowlers had bowled out the visitors for 275 runs.

In the second innings, Elgar topped the South African batting line up with his 48 runs.

India and South Africa will play another Test match in the series.
