India beat Australia by 5 wickets, take series-winning 3-0 lead

Indore, Sept 24 (IBNS): With 13 balls left, India defeated Australia by five wickets in the third ODI match to clinch series here on Sunday.

Manish Pandey (36) and MS Dhoni (3) remained unbeaten till the end to clinch the series.

Ajinkya Rahane (70) and Rohit Sharma (71) gave India strong start as the duo added 139 runs in the opening stand.

Sharma hit six boundaries and four sixes in his knock.

Virat Kohli departed early by contributing 28 runs with his willow. He smashed two boundaries in his knock.

Hardik Pandya came out and played another memorable knock of 78 runs.

He hammered five boundaries and four sixes in the match-winning knock at the end.

Pandya and Pandey joined to add 78 runs in a vital partnership that was needed for India when Australia was attempting to change the dimension of the match with few quick wickets.

Pat Cummins picked up two wickets for Australia.

India took a winning 3-0 lead in the series.
