Ind vs Aus: Warner departs following half century stand

Pune, Feb 23 (IBNS): Australian opener David Warner departed for 38 runs following a 82-run stand with fellow opener Matt Renshaw, giving India the solitary wicket here on Thursday, day one of the first Test match.

At lunch, the visiting side have put on 84 runs for the loss of one wicket.

Steven Smith (1) and Shaun Marsh (1) are at the crease as Renshaw (36) had to walk back retired hurt.

For India, Umesh Yadav picked up the solitary wicket of Warner.

Earlier in the day, the Aussie skipper won the toss and elected to bat first.
