Bengaluru, Mar 6 (IBNS): India's Ravindra Jadeja picked up six wickets to end Australia's first innings outing for 276 runs, here on Monday, day three of the second Test match.

By virtue of their first innings score, the visiting side have managed a lead of 87 runs.

Shaun Marsh (66) top scored for his side, followed by able contributions from Matthew Renshaw (60) and Matthew Wade (40).

India were earlier bowled out for 189 runs.

KL Rahul was the star for his side, scoring 90 runs.

The others, including skipper Virat Kohli, failed to capitalise on their start.

For Australia it was off-spinner Nathan Lyon who picked up eight wickets, extending India's horrid run against the turning ball.

The visiting side too failed to negotiate spin, losing eight of their 10 wickets to the spinners.

Ravindra Jadeja was the most effective Indian bowler, accounting for six scalps.

The southpaw was followed by Ravichandran Ashwin, who picked a couple and Umesh Yadav and Ishant Sharma, who registered a piece each.

India have already started their second innings and have put on seven runs for the loss of no wickets so far.
