Kanpur, Sept 24 (IBNS): Post lunch, the New Zealand team lost five wickets in quick succession to be bowled out for 262 runs, while India's Ravindra Jadeja picked up his fifth five wicket haul, here on day three of the inaugural Test match.

At lunch, the visitors had put on 238 runs for the loss of five wickets, but a slump saw the team lose six wickets for just 24 runs.

Ravichandran Ashwin, who bowled in tandem with Jadeja, ended with four wickets, while Umesh Yadav accounted for the remaining wicket.

The floodgates opened with the departure of Santner (32).

As Jadeja picked up three wickets in an over to leave the visitors stunned.
