Former Pakistani greats appreciate national side for ICC Champions Trophy victory

Islamabad, June 19 (IBNS): Former Pakistan cricketers appreciated and wished the national side after they defeated India by 180 runs in the final of the Champions Trophy to lift the title on Sunday.

Former Pakistan skipper Imran Khan tweeted: "Congratulations to Team Pakistan on their great performance in winning #CT17 And how wonderful to watch Fakhar's raw talent in action."

Imran Khan was the captain of the 1992 World Cup winning Pakistani side.

Another ex-captain, who was known for his powerful batting and bowling performance on the field, said: "This performance will be remembered long by both Indian and Pakistani fans :) Pakistan 've made this #CT17 truly memorable."

Former Pakistani cricketer Saqlain Mustaq tweeted: "We proud of you team pakistan ."

He said: "Tough luck in the final team india , but played brilliantly in the Icc champions trophy."

Ex-captaim Wasim Aram posted: "So proud. Pakistan played like winners and now are champions of the world. Tonight belongs to the heroes in the Green and white #bringItHome."

Former cricketer Shoaib Akhtar posted: "Love you Pakistan team we just love you ..proud moment for every Pakistani."
