Expecting England to come hard at us: Virat Kohli

Addressing a pre-match press conference, Kohli said the Indian team are confident to play against England in the T20I series, which will begin at the Old Trafford on Tuesday.

Referring to his team's ability, the Indian skipper said: "We believe in our abilities as a team. We obviously have a lot of T20I experience. We just came from IPL and couple of games against Ireland as well where the team looked great. Look in T20 cricket, the wicket is gonna be something that provides entertainment to the crowd so there is no one team has an advantage in this format.

I feel anyone who plays well on that particular day has a better chances of winning and we expect England to come hard at us and we certainly want to play some positive and hardcore cricket."

Kohli has hinted that the batting order of the Indian team will be "flexible".

He said: "We will certainly be a lot more flexible...We will be lot flexible as a batting unit and not one dimensional and that's something that has been spoken about as a batting unit. We could throw in surprises here and there through the whole length of the batting innigs. We can afford to that because it is not a long batting innings."

India will play three T20Is, three ODIs and five Test matches against England.

The men-in-blue began their UK tour by playing two T20I matches against Ireland.

India won both the T20I matches comfortably.
