England beat New Zealand by 119 runs, cruise into World Cup semi finals

Chester-le-Street, July 3 (IBNS): England beat New Zealand by 118 runs here on Wednesday evening to cruise into the Cricket World Cup semi-finals.

Batting first, England scored 305 losing eight wickets in the 50 overs.

Bairstow was the top scorer of the side making 106 off 99 balls.

New Zealand hardly ever looked like they were in the game at any point in the second half and they were bowled out for 186 in 45 overs.

Bairstow was named Man of the Match.
