Don't miss Kolkata's newest sporting installation art, a giant cricket helmet

Kolkata, April 19 (IBNS): This IPL season, Kolkata got a new sporting installation art in the shape of a giant helmet, which was unveiled by Tolly superstar Prosenjit Chatterjee and his Drishtikone co-actor Rituparna Sengupta, on Tuesday.

The cricket helmet, said to be the largest of its kind, is located outside the main entrance of Acropolis Mall in the city's southern neighborhood.

The installation has been made possible through an exclusive partnership between  Fever FM and Kolkata Knight Riders, the organizers said

Incidentally, Prosenjit-Rituparna's new film Drishtikone is hitting the box office on April 27, for which a promotion was also held inside this gigantic dome-shaped head gear.

The film is directed by Kaushik Ganguly and both Prosenjit and Rituparna are working with him for the first time in their two-decade long career.

Rituparna Sengupta, apart from speaking about her new venture, expressed her love for the game of cricket. "I follow almost all the matches of KKR and it's a special feeling to inaugurate this helmet at a time when the home team has registered a convincing victory over Delhi Daredevils."

Fever 104 FM also organised a small game show and KKR-signed merchandises were given to the winners.

You can walk right into the 14-feet high structure to click those perfect selfies or groupies as a keepsake.
