Brisbane, Oct 20 (IBNS): Cricketer Chris Lynn has extended a five year deal with Big Bash League team Brisbane Heat.

"Lynn agreed to the new multi-year contract in recent weeks as he continues his recovery from shoulder surgery earlier this year," read the club website.

"The ground-breaking agreement announced today ties the hard-hitting right-hander to the club until BBL|11 in 2021-22, and was complemented by confirmation that coaches Dan Vettori and Shane Bond had accepted two-year contract extensions that keep them with the Heat for BBL|08 and BBL|09," the club said.

Lynn is excited about the extension of the deal.

"I’m honoured that the Heat have shown confidence in me for the coming seasons and given us the opportunity to achieve something special as a club in the future," he said.
