China Open: Sindhu, Saina, Prannoy reaches second round

Beijing, Nov 16 (IBNS): Indian shuttlers PV Sindhu, Saina Nehwal and HS Prannoy defeated their respective opponents on Wednesday to enter the second round of the China Open, media reports said.

While Saina defeated USA's Beiwen Zhang 21-12, 21-13, Prannoy took an hour and a half to beat Korea's Lee Dong Keun 18-21, 21-16, 21-19.

Sindhu, who played the last match of the day, defeated Japan's Sayaka Sato to reach the second round. She will take on China's Han Yue in the next round.

Saina will face fifth seed Akane Yamaguchi in round two. Prannoy will play against Hong Kong's Lee Cheuk Yiu in the next match of the China Open.
