BCCI announces pay hike for Indian men cricketers by cent percent

Mumbai, Mar 22 (IBNS): Board of Control for Cricket in India in an official statement announced the pay hike for all Indian men cricketers by cent percent, on Wednesday.

The annual retainer amount paid to cricketers of all grades (A,B,C) have been doubled.

While Grade A players will get two crores per annum, Grade B and Grade C players would get one crore and 50 lakhs respectively as annual retainer amount from BCCI.

BCCI announced the names of Virat Kohli,MS Dhoni,Ravichandran Ashwin,Cheteshwar Pujara,Ajinkya Rahane,Murali Vijay and Ravindra Jadeja as Grade A players.

The concerned committee met today and decided on the new pay structure of Indian players.

While Ravindra Jadeja has been included in Grade A, spinner Harbhajan Singh left out from from gradation.

Ravindra Jadeja recently ranked top in the bowling list of ICC.

Apart from annual retainer amount, the match fee has also been enhanced for cricketers which will be effective from October 1, 2016.

The test match fee has been enhanced to 15 lakhs while six lakhs for an ODI International and three lakhs for a T20 International.
