Badminton: PV Sindhu attains No. 2 in rankings, Saina falls to 9

Malaysia, Apr 7 (IBNS): PV Sindhu attained the No.2 spot in the latest rankings of Badminton world Federation after the win in India Open Superseries while Saina Nehwal has fallen to 9, according to media reports on Friday.

Sindhu, who has attained the best ranking of her career, recently won the Indian Open defeating Olympic Champion Carolina Marin in the final.

Saina Nehwal, who is now in the ninth position in the list, too received a defeat against Sindhu in the quarter final of Indian Open.

Chinese Taipei's Tai Tzu Ying remained at the top of the ranking with Carolina Marin of Spain at No. 3.
