Asian Games: India clinch gold, silver, three bronze medals on day 3

Jakarta, Aug 21 (IBNS): India won five medals on Tuesday to improve their tally on the third day of Asian Games 2018.

16-year old Saurabh Chaudhary won gold in the 10m Air Pistol on Tuesday.

In the same game, Abhishek Verma won a bronze.

Creating history, India clinched a bronze medal in the men’s team regu event of sepaktakraw.

This was India's first medal in the sepaktakraw sports in the history of the game.

India settled for bronze after the side was defeated by Thailand in the semi-finals clash.

Thailand defeated India by 2-0 margin in the match.

Shooter Sanjeev Rajput won the silver medal in the men's 50 meter Rifle 3 Positions event.

In the final match of the event, Sanjeev scored 452.7 points to settle for second position podium finish.

Indian wrestler Divya Kakran settled for bronze in the 68kg category of the women wrestling.

The Indian wrestler defeated Taipei's Chen Wenling in the third-place play-off bout.

On her way to win the bronze medal, Kakran prevailed on account of Technical Superiority with the final scoreline reading 10-0 at th end of the match.
