Asian Games: India beat Pakistan 2-1 to settle for bronze

Jakarta, Sept 1 (IBNS): Indian settled for bronze by beating arch-rival Pakistan in the medal match of the ongoing Asian Games here on Saturday.

India took early lead in the match when Akashdeep Singh scored in the third minute of the game.

India maintained the momentum and did not allow Pakistan to score in the second quarter of the match.

The third quarter remained goalless.

Harmanpreet Singh scored in the 50th minute  to double the lead and add more excitement to the match.

Pakistan scored in the  52nd minute to reduce the goal gap to 2-1.

Muhammad Atiq scored for Pakistan.
