Asian Games: Despite gold in rowing and tennis, India suffer heartbreak in Kabaddi

Jakarta, Aug 24 (IBNS): Despite earning gold in rowing and tennis, India suffered a heartbreak in Kabaddi Women's final as they settled for silver on the sixth day of Asian Games on Friday.

In Kabaddi, defending champions India lost to Iran 24-27.

Continuing the good start on the sixth day of Asian Games 2018, India clinched a gold in Tennis.

Rohan Bopanna and Divij Sharan defeated Aleksander Bublik and Denis Yevseyev of Kazakhstan in the men's double to clinch the gold.

The Indian pair won the match 6-3 6-4 in less than an hour's time.

In shooting, Heena Sindhu won bronze in 10m Air Pistol final.

Earlier on day 6, four Indian men- Sawarn Singh, Dattu Bhokanal, Om Prakash and Sukhmeet Singh- won gold in the rowing event.

Dushyant Singh won bronze in men's Lightweight Single Sculls.

In men's Lightweight Double Sculls, Rohit Kumar and Bhagwan Singh won bronze after finishing third.

In Tennis Men's Singles semi final, Prajnesh Gunneswaran won bronze.

After clinching two gold, one silver and four bronze medals on day 6, India are at the eighth spot with a tally of 25 medals.
