Akram not to feature as Kolkata Knight Riders bowling coach in IPL 2017?

Islamabad, Dec 10 (IBNS): Ex-Pakistani skipper Wasim Akram will not serve as the bowling coach of IPL side Kolkata Knight Riders in the upcoming edition of the tournament next year, media reports said.

As per ESPNCricinfo website, the fast bowler won't feature due to "professional commitments and time constraints."

He was quoted as saying by the website: " I am surely going to miss being part of the dressing room but I wish the team continued success."

"We will miss Wasim bhai who has been part of the KKR family over the last few years and has played a significant role in our title triumphs in 2012 and 2014," Venky Mysore, managing director and CEO of KKR, was quoted as saying by the sports website.

The next edition of the tournament will commence from Apr 5.
