Trailer of upcoming Bengali movie featuring veteran actor Soumitra Chatterjee released

Kolkata, Aug 7 (IBNS): The trailer and poster of soon-to-be-released Bengali movie, Ami Rajneeti Chai Na, featuring veteran actor Soumitra Chatterjee, was launched in Kolkata recently.

Directed by Simanta Chatterjee under the banner of NKD Productions, the film's storyline is based on politics and family drama.

Swapna's father Nityananda Chakraborty is the Panchayat Pradhan of Duramari village. However, Tustha Mondal is selected to compete for the seat when it is declared reserved for Scheduled Caste candidates. Tustha wins the seat. Meanwhile, Swapna, who has no interest in politics falls in love with Tustha and they marry eventually. But will the live happily ever after?

Besides Soumitra Chatterjee, the cast includes Geetasree Roy, Dulal Lahiri, Ramen Roy Chowdhury, Anindya Pulok,and Debesh  Roy Chowdhury, among others.

Arijit Banerjee is the music director.
