'Shohorer Ushnotomo Dine': Vikram Chatterjee, Solanki Roy promise revival of their on-screen romance

Kolkata/IBNS: Eight years after their popular Bengali daily soap 'Ichche Nodee' was premiered on television, actors Vikram Chatterjee and Solanki Roy are promising to revive their on-screen romance with Aritra Sen's upcoming Bengali film 'Shohorer Ushnotomo Dine'.

The trailer of the romantic film, which encompasses love, romance and grief, was launched on Thursday.

Speaking on the revival of their on-screen chemistry, Vikram told IBNS, "It makes it very special for us that we have got yet another opportunity to work together. Big screens have its own charm.

"We are very grateful to television for the love and success we have received but we can't deny that we are eager to be featured together on big screens. We have grown up watching superstars ruling the big screens. I always look forward to seeing myself on big screens."

'Shohorer Ushnotomo Dine', which shares its title with a popular song from Indian rock band Moheener Ghoraguli, premiered at the 28th Kolkata International Film Festival (KIFF) last year.

Solanki, who was one of the three leads in 'Ichche Nodee' which went on air for almost two years, shared, "Since we have worked in such a successful daily soap and our pairing was received so well, both of us wanted to work together in a romantic film only.

"So we had to wait for five years and then Aritra (Aritra Sen) came up with the story. I was always excited to see us on the big screens."

The duo, however, believe the crux of love has remained unaltered across generations in reference to the modern day romance shown in the film's trailer.

"Love and its feelings never change," said Vikram and was added by Solanki, "Feelings never change but the way of expression alters. I feel this film will deeply touch all generations."

The film will have a theatrical release on June 30.
