Makers unveil motion poster of upcoming Bengali film 'Raktabeej'

Kolkata/IBNS: The makers have unveiled the motion poster of  director-duo Nandita Roy and Shiboprosad Mukherjee's upcoming Bengali film 'Raktabeej'.

Padma Bhushan recipient Victor Banerjee is playing the lead in the film, co-starring popular Bengali actors Abir Chatterjee and Mimi Chakraborty.

Apart from the three, the film features Kanchan Mallick, Ambarish Bhattacharya, Satyam Bhattacharya, Debasish Mondal, Devlina Kumar in pivotal roles.

'Raktabeej', a thriller, is inspired by the Burdwan blast in 2014, which shook up Bengal and also the nation, the film is about the homecoming of a man, who holds an important portfolio, and how an accidental blast in a firecracker unit unveils a bigger threat to his life.

Speaking about the motion poster, Shiboprosad says, "The thought behind the motion poster was exactly the research that has gone into the making of the film; one closer look and you will be able to join the dots to this thriller."

The film, which is produced by Windows Production, is slated to release on October 20 on the occasion of Durga Puja.
