Pakistan: Quetta blast leaves one Frontier Corps driver killed

A roadside blast in Quetta city of Pakistan on Saturday left at least one Frontier Corps driver killed  Akhtarabad area of Pakistan's Quetta city, media reports said.

Edhi Foundation in-charge Muhammad Zeeshan told Dawn News that an FC vehicle was out for routine patrolling when the blast took place, leaving the driver critically wounded.

He was immediately rushed to Bolan Medical Complex Hospital.

Zeeshan, citing the Quetta police, told the newspaper that four kilograms of explosives were used in the explosion.

Following the blast, police, bomb disposal squad and FC reached the site and the region was cordoned off for investigation.
