Kolkata/IBNS: With the 11th edition of Jai Balaji Group’s Kolkata Marathon being just around the corner, the official participant tee was unveiled at The Bhawanipur Education Society College in Kolkata.

The t-shirts were unveiled in the form of a fashion show, with students of the institution walking the ramp in the new bright red t-shirts, alongside the ‘Face of the Event’ Milind Soman and National fitness influencer and ‘Mentor of Women Pacers’ Ankita Konwar.

The t-shirt was designed in collaboration with the marathon’s apparel partner, T10 Sports, keeping the runner's comfort and needs in mind. The t-shirts are made from a synthetic, sport-focused material to ensure breathability and comfort, and also feature the official theme ‘Cholo Dourai’ at the back.

Founder and CEO of T10 Sports, Vineet Agarwal spoke on the process of designing the apparel.

"When my team was working on the design of this T-shirt, we asked one question to ourselves. What does Kolkata look like when it's moving? And the answer was sweeping through colours like marigold, sky blue, coral, green, tangerine, flowing through a navy blue base, which reflects the energy and vibrancy of this incredible city. And the two words that touched my heart the most are ‘Cholo Dourai," said Agarwal.

Three sequences of outfits walked the ramp, each representing a separate aspect of the marathon.

The first was the JBG Marathon’s Signature Collection, followed by the T10’s sports clothing, with the final unveiling of the Marathon’s official T-shirt.

Milind Soman, walking the ramp alongside Ankita Konwar, talked about the importance of a jersey.

"Every marathon carries a heartbeat, and the official running T-shirt is a runner's badge of honor - it connects every participant running through the streets as one unified force. The energy today at Bhawanipore College was truly infectious.

"As the JBG Kolkata Marathon steps into its 11th edition with the prestigious World Athletics Label Full Marathon, wearing this jersey represents endurance, discipline, and the indomitable spirit of Kolkata," said Soman.

His message to the runners became a message to the non-runners, with Milind hoping that this year's marathon becomes the inspiration for non-runners to participate in the future years.

This year, the marathon features a set of all-women pacers, taking an initiative in women's empowerment.

Triathlete, National Fitness Influencer & Mentor of over 50 Women Pacers, Ankita Konwar said, "Running is transformative, and seeing women take charge of their fitness journey is something very close to my heart. Mentoring over 50 women pacers for the 11th edition of the JBG Kolkata Marathon is an incredible privilege.

"Unveiling this T-shirt today symbolizes our collective commitment to empowerment, health, and pacing thousands of runners toward their personal bests."

The Jai Balaji Group’s 11th edition of the Kolkata Marathon is taking place on November 29, 2026.
