Bengaluru/IBNS: Bollywood actor Shraddha Kapoor's brother Siddhanth Kapoor was detained by the Bengaluru Police for allegedly consuming drugs at a party Sunday night, media reports said.

The police raided a hotel on MG Road, where the party was hosted, acting on a tipoff.

Police sent samples of 35 people suspected of drug consumption for tests.

Reports of five including the one of Siddhanth of the 35 samples came positive.

Police said they were unsure whether the accused had consumed drugs and came to the party or they did it in the hotel.

Siddhanth, the son of veteran Bollywood actor Shakti Kapoor, is also an actor who has featured in films like Shootout at Wadala, Ugly, Chehre, web series Bhaukaal.

In 2020, Shraddha and a few Bollywood actors including superstar Deepika Padukone were quizzed by the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) in a drug case related to the death of actor Sushant Singh Rajput.
