Rahul takes jibe at Modi, asks him to shun arrogance, communal agenda
New Delhi, Nov 8 (IBNS) Congress vice-president Rahul Gandhi on Sunday took a jibe at Prime Minister Narendra Modi over the Bihar election results where the BJP lost badly, asking PM Modi to shun arrogance and communal agenda to take the development of the nation forward.
"The message to Modi is loud and clear. You cannot makes Hindus and Muslims fight with each other to win. You have to shun your arrogance. We need brotherhood and love and development," said Rahul Gandhi.
After a nail-biting fight to grab majority in the 243-member Bihar Assembly, the Grand Alliance, comprising Bihar Chief Minister Nitsh Kumar's JD(U), Lalu Prasad Yadav's RJD and Congress, emerged a winner as is all set to form the government in Bihar as the counting for the assembly election proceeded on Sunday.
"We back Nitish-ji fully. He has shown that he can develop Bihar and we will support him. We want to congratulate everyone," he said.
He then attacked Modi saying "the entire country is waiting for you (Modi) to work and not be in campaign mode anymore now that you are a PM."
"You have to now press the accelerator, else people will throw you out of the car," said Gandhi.
"You go everywhere in the world, go to instead the villages and among the youth and embrace them," he said.
