Thiruvanthapuram, Nov 10 (IBNS) Kerala Finance Minister KM Mani resigned over the bar bribery scandal on Tuesday, media reports said.

Rebel Kerala Congress (M) leader PC George resigned as a legislator earlier in the day.

Speaking to reporters, George said he will submit the resignation letter to the speaker on November 12.

He also challenged K M Mani to make him a role model and follow suit by resigning from the post of the finance minister.

The moves were made a day after high court cleared the decks for further investigation against him in the case.
