Srinagar/IBNS: Reacting to the terror attack in Kulgam district, where a school teacher from Samba was shot dead, Mir Junaid, President of Jammu Kashmir Workers Party (JKWP), said that Pakistan sponsored terrorism is a cancer in the Valley and it should have no place in a civilized democratic society.

He said that not only has it deeply saddened him, it has added to his personal rage against the menace of terrorism in Kashmir.

In a second such targeted attack in three weeks, a Kashmiri woman Pandit from Jammu was shot dead by militants in the Kulgam district of Jammu and Kashmir Tuesday morning.

He said, "Please tell me, what does killing an unarmed woman achieve for anyone? This is not Islam, this barbarity had nothing to do with religion. It is pure genocidal hate sponsored by Pakistan."

Mir appealed to the authorities that strictest punishment should be meted out not only to the Terrorists, but also to their ecosystem of support.

He also appealed to the public to peacefully protest against this barbarity and make it clear to the world that Kashmiri society has nothing to do with Terrorism.

He said that he hopes that all Masjids will reverberate with sermons of brotherhood, peace and protection of minorities in Kashmir.

In a tweet, Junaid said, "A teacher from Samba was shot dead by terrorists at Gopalpora in a Kulgam. She was killed because of her religion. She was killed because an ecosystem supports this barbaric terrorism. Until we speak the truth, this will not stop."

On May 12, a Kashmiri Pandit employee, named Rahul Bhat, was shot dead inside his office at Chadoora Budgam.
