Srinagar/IBNS: Hours after the killing of a bank manager, a migrant labourer was shot dead by terrorists in Kashmir's Budgam on Thursday, reports said.

Another worker, who received injuries in the attack, has been shifted to a hospital.

The Valley has been rattled by a string of targeted killings in recent months, with Vijay Kumar, a manager with the Ilaquai Dehati Bank, being shot dead in Kulgam district earlier in the day.

Kumar was a native of Rajasthan.

The labourer's killing is the third targeted attack on Hindus in the Valley in just three days.

Earlier in the day, a terrorist entered the Areh branch of Elaqahi Dehati Bank and shot Kumar.

CCTV footage shows the assailant fled the crime scene after firing at Kumar.

Kumar was rushed to the hospital but he succumbed to the injuries on the way.

These two killings come two days after terrorists killed a 36-year-old Kashmiri Pandit school teacher in Golpara area of Kulgam district.

In the last two months, two civilians, including a Kashmir Pandit employee Rahul Bhat and two off-duty policemen were shot down by the terrorists.

Union Home Minister Amit Shah earlier in the evening met National Security Advisor Ajit Doval to discuss the recent spate of targeted killings in Kashmir.
