Kolkata/IBNS: The trailer of debutant director Dr. Manoranjan Jena’s horror comedy Bhootu Aaya Bhago featuring late actor Rahul Arunoday Banerjee was unveiled on Tuesday

The film stars Aryann Bhowmik, Shreema Bhattacherjee, Debraj Bhattacharya and Sreelekha Mitra, among others, and follows three friends who fake a ghost possession to scare their landlord, only to become viral sensations overnight.

Actor Aryann Bhowmik said, "Souvik (director) curates a story so beautifully that I knew it would be very interesting, and the haunting experience we had, I could relate with it from my past. Moreover, the locations where we shot were really spine-chilling."

As their newfound popularity grows, the trio turns their fame into a paranormal channel, but their staged hauntings take a terrifying turn when something real appears.

"I think the past should be in the past, and if that reconciles with the present, it would be even more terrifying," said actress Shreema Bhattacherjee.

The film is a horror entertainer that blends mystery, thrills and unexpected twists against an intriguing supernatural backdrop, while the trailer offers a mix of comic situations and haunting elements.
