Bangkok/Xinhua: One airport worker was killed and another one was injured following a crash between a domestic airliner and its tow truck at Don Mueang international airport in Bangkok on Friday.

According to Don Mueang airport director Samphan Khutharanon, the Nok Air plane accidentally crashed with the tow truck at work near an aircraft parking area where it was about to pick up passengers, killing the driver of the tow truck and injuring a worker.

The accident occurred when the towing cable for the aircraft suddenly broke off, causing the plane to hit the tow truck workers from behind, he said.
The domestic plane leaving Bangkok for Nakhon Si Thammarat province was changed and took off about an hour later than scheduled.
