Moscow, Apr 24 (Sputnik/UNI) Russian President Vladimir Putin and North Korean leader Kim Jong Un will meet at about 13 hrs Vladivostok time (03:00 GMT) on Thursday, the Kremlin said Wednesday.

"I think that they will start at about 13-1400 hrs local time, right after the noon," Spokesman Dmitry Peskov said.

Answering the question whether Putin was going to offer resumption of the six party talks on the Korean settlement to Kim, Peskov said that, indeed, there was no alternative to the six party negotiations as the international format for settling the problem.

"Therefore, of course, it is hardly possible to abandon completely this mechanism. But on the other hand, you know that settlement efforts are coming from other countries. So, all efforts deserve support if they are pursuing the goal of denuclearization and generally solve the problems of the two Koreas," the spokesman added.
