Jerusalem, Dec 20 (IBNS): A Palestinian girl was arrested by Israeli forces after a video of the former slapping the latter's soldiers went viral, reports said.

The nabbed girl has been identified as 17-year-old activist Ahed Tamimi.

The video was shot on Friday, three days prior to her arrest.

The footage shows Tamimi along with another girl kicking and slamming Israeli soldiers.

A second footage showed Tamimi confronting the forces, asking them to leave, while kicking them.

Soldiers have also arrested Tamimi's mother.

According to DW, the army men confirmed that the two will be in custody until Thursday, though they did not provide a reason as to why the mother was picked up too.

This is not the first brush Tamimi has had with the soldiers.

She had earlier been in altercation with Israeli forces at least two other times.
