Military plane crashes in Algeria, many casualties feared
Algiers, Apr 11 (IBNS) : Many were feared dead as an Algerian military plane crashed shortly after taking off from the Boufarik base in Algeria on Wednesday, local media reports said.
The plane was carrying dozens of military troops, according to the reports.
An image posted on an Algerian website showed thick smoke billowing from the site of the crash.
TV news reports said 14 ambulances were at the scene.
The airport is the base for the country's airforce.
